Looking to start 2nd half of Wnba season with a bang!
Cleveland -3.5 over Sacto
I think this line may slightly rise by gametime. First off the Rockers were the only team not to have a participant in Saturday's all star game. This will inject some life into this Rockers team to kick off the second half of the wnba season. Their coach Hughes is the type of guy who gives motivational speeches and i'm sure he's throwing some of this at his team to ignite some fire. I do however think we haven't see the best of the Monarchs yet. They are currently at 8-11 and i think their inside tandem of Griffith and Walker will even get better by season's end. Sacto played a terrific second half last year and i think they will again this year. They have added some key ingredients and will start to gel sooner or later.
That being said i still like Cleveland here because of the motivational factor and because they are 5-2 at home. Sacto is 3-8 on road and another big factor here is that it is a NOON start that equates to a 9AM start Pacific time. Cleveland will be the more rested and motivated team here and they also disposed of the Monarchs last year at home BIG 73-50. No opinion on tomorrow's total but i'm playing Cleveland for a nice size play.
